Pint can from Total Wine Gainesville, VA, 7/31/22. Black, large brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, vanilla, apple. Taste is roast, vanilla, chocolate. Well balanced, booze present but not too bad.

Horehound, tobacco, molasses nose. Black, headless. Tobacco, horehound, charred meat, soy sauce. Full body, soft carbonation. I like beers like this.

Very nice stuff. Lots of vanilla and some oat and roast. Touch of burnt toast and caramel. Rich. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Creamy consistency. Tap at brewery.

22oz bottle pours an inky black with some thin, white head. Nose is OK, there’s vanilla there but plenty of molasses too, roast, a little cheap chocolate syrup. Smells a little adjunct-y. Flavor is OK, a little faux, some molasses and licorice, vanilla is lighter, chocolate, some nougat, everything is just a bit weak. Finishes dry.

4 oz pour on draft at Caboose. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of vanilla and chocolate. Tastes of big vanilla and caramel, some roast. Medium body with a dry finish. Wouldn’t consider this an imperial stout personally but it’s very nice, could definitely be one of my go to beers here.
