This coffee stout uses American Nugget hops and our house Belgian ale yeast strain to create layers of fruit notes which play nicely with the cold pressed coffee blend we add post fermentations. Notes of pine, berry, stone fruit, and rich coffee are present throughout.

Pint pour at Denizens. Poured a dark brown color, almost black with some ruby notes on the edges of the glass and a small off-white head atop. Aroma was nice roasted malt notes, with a blast of fresh coffee. Flavor was lots of coffee, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and that resiny pine note you often get from a black IPA.

Draft. Clear deep maroon color, thick beige head with good retention and lacing. Roasty cocoa powder aroma. Taste is slightly sour coffee grounds. OK.
