Lighting is everything. In the right hands, a single 2700k incandescent bulb can turn a spaceship into a medieval fortress. Similarly, in the right hands, a supremely dark and flavorful malt bill can transform a regular beer into a Czech Dark Lager.
Mood Lighting, a complex, toasty, Czech-style Dark Lager, was brewed in collaboration with our friends at ColdFire Brewing Company, just in time for their annual Dark Lager Fest.
Brewer's Notes
Hops: Saaz, Magnum
Malts: Weyermann Dark Floor Malted Pilsner, Floor Malted Pilsner, Vienna, Chocolate Malt, Carafa Special II, Chocolate Rye

16oz can from New Seasons Market. Dark brown pour, fluffy beige head, light lacing. Rich, full roasty aroma, burnt toast. Taste is roasty and bitter, dark chocolate, burnt. This is so good!

Black body with full offwhite head. Malty aroma, rather full with some chocolate notes. Full malty taste with herb, bread, and chocolate notes. Good finish.
