Sample during the "Uber-Kurt (10,000) Celebration" on 12/13/2014, part of a vertical including 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2006, 2002, 1997 & 1988. Brownish-amber pour with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, dried fruit, malt, trail mix and brown sugar. Full-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, dark fruit, brown sugar, grainy malt and berries. The finish is fruity Belgian yeast and caramel malt. At this age tastes like a fine brandy. Endlessly complex and enjoyable. Superb beer all around.
