Draft @ Blind Tiger, New York. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy pumpkin aroma. Fruity sour tart spicy pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. Has a fruity sour spicy pumpkin and cinnamon finish.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy orange color topped by a foamy off-white head that disappates slowly. Slightly spicy nose hints at allspice and cloves. Interesting sour malt flavor melds with the plethora of pumpkin pie spices. Picking up lemon peel, earthy funk, ginger, cloves and sourdough bread. Very different as pumpkin beers go.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Hazy amber, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of pumpkin, spice and caramel. The taste is tart lemon, brett, pumpkin, spice, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering tartness. Interesting.

Bottle. Nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin, malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head. Tart lemon, light pumpkin, malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Light pumpkin spices in finish. I was hoping for more of a sweet-tart flavor but citrus flavor nearly overwhelms everything else.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to sicken surface. Pumpkin and ginger aromas. Medium bodied with caramel and pumpkin upfront turning to mildly sharp tart lemon meringue in the lasting finish. Different.

12 oz bottle purchased at Royal Liquor in Kansas City, Missouri. L081415 on label. The pour is a clear golden orange with a well formed one inch dirty white head. The aroma is big cinnamon and nutmeg spicing, along with ginger and a bit soft orange citrus. Nose is all about the spices. The taste is a potpourri of the nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and a general sour tart citrus, bright and acidic. More of the nutmeg is in the finish. Some earth and dry leather are featured in the lingering finish after the beer warms some. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and the tart spice and young Brett yeast finish. The spices make this pretty hard to drink in quantity - 12 oz was more than enough. There is a ton going on in this beer, and it is certainly as advertised - a Spiced Sour Ale.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Best by date 1/12/2016. Hazy orange with a bit of off-white head. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cumin, lightly tart stone fruit. Tastes of stone fruit, subtle caramel, light tart acidic notes, a touch of Brett and earthy notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it actually works fairly well!
