The beer style that Belgian brewers and Trappist monks brew and keep to session on themselves! The low-ABV cousin of the Tripel, a Singel (AKA Patersbier) is a Belgian Pale Ale where the unmistakable flavour of Belgian yeast is the star, supported by a strong malt backbone and where the hops come last to the party but still impart flavour. Kazbek and Hallertau Blanc combine with Brewers Gold in Belgian Swipe Right.
For our Singel, we have used Belgian yeast for all the esters and phenols associated with the best Belgian beers and we have brewed it with aromatic Belgian malt and an equal measure of oats for smoothness.
