12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of decadent bourbon barrels, dark sugars, and a touch of vanillin. Flavour has a wonderful bourbon barrel that has a slightly smoky edge, a touch of vanilla, dark sugars, and medium roast. Fairly dry, barrel-heavy finish. Excellent.

12oz bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. Lots of bourbon barrels, burnt sugars, roast on the nose. Flavour has charred bourbon barrels, a bit smokey, dark sugars, roasted malts, blackstrap molasses. Very intense, big barrels, nice sugar character. This is excellent.

Bottle to snifter. Date on the neck of the bottle reads: 10/20/2025.
Appearance: pure black in color with a quickly dissipating head that seemed to add a little fizz to it, no lace
Aroma: smells like thick bourbon coated fudge up front, then some vanilla to subtle coffee sweetness underneath, super light roast, light woody notes
Flavor: intertwines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to roasty quality; finishes bourbon-like with roasty tones
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; some bourbon barrel spicy grip nicking the tongue a bit but not too bothersome to me
Overall: with no head to this but the barrel showing signs of being slightly "hot-ish," I don't know if I aged this correctly or if Prairie did it (just when I thought I had a good system of aging beers, thanks Prairie for going and wrecking my system).

Black pour. Thin tan head. Charcoal flavor mixed with an oakiness. Vanilla and chocolate notes. Nice flavor.
