Black with medium brown head. Aroma is roast coffee dates vanilla light cheese. Taste is quite umami with dry bitter roast. Bitter dry cocoa finish. Quite heavy. For me it could have been a little sweeter but the roasty dark bitter character is also quite soothing.

(Keg at Two Chefs, 20230416) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, coffee and cocoa powder. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A tasty and balanced burnt brew.

Blik thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een pikzwart bier met een volle bruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, rook en drop. De smaak is gebrand, rokerig en drop achtig.
