Omako Basoa is a monumental Imperial Pastry Stout, conceived as a liquid dessert. It combines the depth of pure cocoa, the elegance of vanilla, and the intensity of the coffee used in its brewing.
We picked up the brush alongside our friends from New York, Finback Brewery, to paint this collaborative masterpiece for our 10th anniversary.
Its recipe is built on a complex base of nine malts, providing body and layers of roasted flavor. The result is a liquid bonbon: deep, complex, and voluptuous.

Keg at Bira, Alicante, Spain. An almost black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Rich, sweetish, roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee, vanilla action. Hard to believe it is 17.5% ABV. Really smooth, tasty imperial stout in collaboration with Finback.

Med-full bod, low-light carbo. High sweet, med-high bitter. Lots of chocolate, mostly milk, light dark too. A bit lacking in the deep roast department though. Light warmth, but elegant. Easy sipping. Good one.

Black with a small head. Aroma is soy sauce, roasted malt and a little bit of toffee. Given the ABV the mouthfeel is surprisingly thin. Sweet flavour with notes of vanilla, roasted malt, toffee and some licorice. Warming finish.

Tap at Goblet, enormous thanks Karlo for sharing! Pitch black body, off-white head. Raisin, vanilla and light oak in the smoooth aroma. Smooth taste too, cocoa, vanilla, cakey, raisins - warming, but not too much alcohol. Gotta respect the craft on this one! I had 7.5% beers that were much warmer and rougher than this one!

On tap at Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, small beige head, chocolate and light alcohol in the nose. Chocolate, vanilla, light alcohol, notes of cocoa and coffee with pleasant roasty finish. Alcohol noticable but balanced. Quite nice.
