Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky brett, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of funky citrus, brett yeast, malt and oak. The finish is moderately sour with an oaky and fruity aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

At the Portland International Beerfest, Saturday June 25, 2015.Cloudy golden color, off-white head. Tart, light funky, mineral, green berries taste. Tart aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, very low bitterness. Tart, funky, farmhouse scent.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber, large puffy off-white head, dissipates slowly wiht nice residual lacing. Aroma is mosaic, passionfruit, melon, guava, oak, lemon. Flavor is light sweet, and light plus tart. Not getting a ton of bitterness - certainly nohwere near the reported 100 IBU. Super fruity and tropical, citrus zest apparent along with tons of things that normally appear in fruity beach drinks stuck to a cocktail umbrella. Medium body, full mouthfeel. God I love dry hopped sour beers.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange yellow. Nose is tropical fruit and light funk. Tastes of mango, melon, pineapple, grapefruit, dry hops, grassy white wine, some tart sourness. Dry and fruity finish. Some lemony puckering.

[3/2/15] Draught at Brouwer’s Cafe in Seattle. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma with lots of barnyard, hops, fruity and a bit floral, and a bit of lacto. Sour flavor, quite puckering, fruity, with lacto, funk, hops, and a finish with some bitterness mixed in and an astringent note. Medium-bodied. Very good.

375ml bottle pours out a hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is apricot jam peaches and a nice tartness. Taste is as the nose apricot peach some hop notes and a very nice tartness. This was a very tasty brew.

Aroma is very fruit forward with a lot of pineapple and guava With some other tropical fruit. Light cherry pie notes with some light malt and faint oak notes. Pours a cloudy, pale golden orange with a thick, small white head with good retention. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor has some light malt notes with a hint of caramel character. Lots of tropical fruit noted, especially guava and pineapple. Moderate bitterness with quite a bit of tropical fruit juice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice, Brett forward, tropical fruit IPA. Really juicy, tropical frit notes. Even with age the tropical fruit is there but there is not much hop character. Moderate acidity. BAD IPA, good beer. Aroma

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of light citrus and clementine notes is quiet refreshing. Taste is also dominated by citrus notes with some clementine notes which are very refreshing and light tangy and tart finish. Body is quite full with medium carbonation. I just took this out of the fridge without knowing exactly what I was about to drink but very good beer even though sour side is not that apparent.

375mL bottle, pours a murky orange with a small white had. Nose brings quite a bit of murky feet funk, armpit, lacto and some hops in there. Flavour is sure unique, with loads of musty, BO-like brett funk which is somehow amazing, with grapefruit pith, dry hops, and more funk. Wow - this is sure innovative. Highly flavourful for only being 4.1% and hugely funky. Wonderful stuff.
