12oz @ Phill's shared with Brian while waiting for Alex.
Aroma: American oak, nuts, some chocolate.
Taste: along the same lines, noticeably boozy, noticeable chocolate, nuts kinda muted with oak and booze notes dominating. Moderately sweet.
Overall: pleasant, not really a hazelnut beer, but pleasant BBA IS.

Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: black color with a quickly dissipating head that left no lace
Aroma: thick hazelnut sweet spread flanked by some dry woodiness and bourbon glazes, sly coffee, subtle vanilla then roasty stout base
Flavor: combines all the prior mentioned aromas sweetly with the roast and rolls into the aftertaste of hazelnut and bourbon
Texture: medium bodied, mostly a sipper; smooth and slick along my tongue; finishes hazelnutty with some coffee roast
Overall: pretty nicely done pastry imperial stout. I'd come back to.

12 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a tiny head. Nose is full of freshly roasted hazelnuts, some dark chocolate, medium roast, and some bourbon barrels. Flavour is maybe less dominated by the nuts, with plenty of toasted hazelnut, dark cocoa, gentle bourbon, and a touch of roast. Nice roasted nuttiness that lingers and combines well with the bourbon. Excellent.

2025 bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black, fairly viscous, with no head. Big nose of bourbon, oak, cacao nib and hazelnuts. Warming alcohol on the palate with hazelnut, dark chocolate and vanilla notes. Super smooth and almost creamy. Killer stuff from Prairie!
