Bottle at Bodega in La Crosse. This beer pours a slightly hazed orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of grapefruity hops, malt and caramel. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. Above average overall.

One of a slew of Ale Asylum brews courtesy of sebletitje. Pours deep clear dirty gold with white head. The aroma is full with pine hop goodness and not anywhere near the label stated “lush floral” (did they even smell or taste this before creating the label?). Behind the firm level of pine are spicy hops is a note of pine resin infused crusty dried malt syrup. The taste is a pleasing pulse of pine and spicy hops and then slowly picking up thin layers of grapefruit and sweet maltiness. It has an even mix of flavor and bittering hops which creates a nice hoppy experience. Easily a solid IPA, a bit surprised it is listed as a Pale Ale.

orange, off-white head piney hops with plenty of citrus undertones, lush and floral dominance, light caramel malts with a mild bitter profile. at 5.5% this one has plenty to offer on the hop side, light and tasty.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber. Has a malty citrus hoppy aroma. Slightly sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with hints of citrus. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with some weak hints of caramel and hints of citrus in the aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to fidelis83. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of fruity (among other things mango), citrus and slightly pine like hops. Light caramel and sugary notes left behind. Taste is pine cone, slightly husky, astringent, and hay like. Hoppy, but too grassy and astringent. Thin, with medium to high carbonation.

Draft at OF. Hazy orange-brown color. Solid APA. Sandy brown malt with some higher than average hop bitterness. Top notch example of the style. Dry and sweet, perfect balance. Quality stuff.

Pour is an orange with a small soapy white head. Aroma is deffinatly your pine/grapefruit hops combo. Flavor is more of an earthy malt then hop bitterness but that is what the brewer was going for. Still this is a good beer to taste as its not over the top with the hops and you can tell a lot of work went into creating this beer.

Tap - this is a nice take on the style, with a hop presence that pushes into IPA territory - a nice cloudy body, with a lasting lace - very floral and fruity in the nose and the flavor, with a thick resinous hop character that somehow doesn’t get in the way of the relatively refreshing and light character of the beer - very earthy and grassy, with herbal notes and citrus character - pretty much what you want an APA to be, with just enough unique floral character to set it apart from its peers.

12 oz bottle from csbosox. Pour is orange amber clear with a fluffy white head. Aroma of hops - orange/lemon citrus. A bit of malty sweetness (biscuit) in there as well. Taste is pretty much as advertised by the nose, orange, lime and lemon hoppiness, some nice bitterness. Also, a great backbone of slightly sweet biscuit malt. Palate was a touch on the watery side, but didn’t keep this from being very enjoyable. Thanks Chris.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy straw-copper body, medium buff head. Rindy, citric hops nose with abundant grapefruit notes. The body is a veritable hops tea with some citrus characteristics but predominantly medicinal and soapy. Resinous, medium body. I didn’t find this too exciting.
