Can. Pours a rather clear amber, little head, no retention. Aroma is malty, lots of caramel, lot of pine. Somewhat fruity, grapefruit. Medium body. Flavour is rich and malty, spicy malts and lot of caramel. Very nice. Medium bitterness, nice bite. Some nice citrus fruit flavours, mostly grapefruit. Finishes rich and bittersweet, pine. Very nice west coast IPA, immensely drinkable.

Bottle. Golden color. Ripe lychee in the aroma. Malty sweetish grassy citric flavor with a hint of lychee. Somewhat faded hops, still a very nice beer.

Clear, orange colored, medium off white frothy head. Medium+ hoppy citrus and pine, resiny, medium sweet malt with some caramel, orange, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily to resiny.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy copper/amber pour, thin soapy white layer on top. No lacing. Usual nose, herbs and grass, touch of pine and citrus fruits. Pronounced caramel in the background. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Average mouthfeel, pleasantly fizzy. Smooth and drinkable. Bittersweet taste, more on the bitter side. Caramel and honey notes in the background, strong herbal presence, mild spicy. Pine and low citrus. Dry mouthfeel, medium lasting finish. Good.

On tap at Pivoteka, Zagreb. Happy Birthday, Vran! Hazy golden, off-white head. Moderately hoppy, also buttery. Fruity and herbal notes underneath, malts. Very drinkable. Light to a moderate bitterness. Smooth and light to a medium body. By the book with a few flaws.

On tap at Pivoteka Zagreb. Clear darker golden coloured, small white head, sweetish fruity nose. Sweet malty, fruity, even touch of over ripe fruits, slightly spicy and mild citrus with rather bitter finish. Bit unbalanced but drinkable.

Tap at Hop In. Hazy deep dull golden, creamy white head, medium to low retention. Hah, the aroma isn't that thrilling. Mild citric-appley touches over a malty body... Old, it would seem. The taste is fairly full but still drinkable, citric, lime notes, melon too? Showing traces of oxidation in the finish, which somehow mix strangely well with the hops. Still a good beer, even if it's likely old. Light bitterness. Hope to try again fresh, screams potential in this shape. Their fault though they sent it to Croatia like this tho.

IPA bien construite et agréable, voici de bonnes qualités de base pour une IPA. D'autant qu'avec 4 houblons (Chinook, Citra, Centennial, Columbus) cette Brave New World ne se perd pas dans un amalgame brouillon et reste très lisible autour d'arômes de pamplemousse, de résineux, de pêche et de fruits exotiques, ces derniers d'ailleurs aurait pu être mis un peu plus en avant, comme cela est le cas au nez qui en terme d'équilibre est très appréciable. L'amertume avec 60 d'IBU est bien dosé, à la fois saillante et élégante. Son plus gros point faible est la longueur qui retombe trop vite surtout que les secondes et troisièmes bouches sont sur des intensités intéressantes. Le deuxième bémol qui est quelque peu lié est le titrage alcoolique, qui aurait pu être boosté au moins à 8,5 %. En verre, le blond orangé limpide et sans mousse est classique pour le style. Le nez est à la fois d'une belle complexité et d'un bon équilibre, très agréable : résineux, citron, fruits exotiques, pêche, citron et verveine. Il aurait réellement été appréciable de retrouver cela à dégustation, mais tout en restant agréable, on perd quelque peu en richesse aromatique. L'amertume est franche dès l'attaque avec des arômes de pamplemousse, de résineux et une pointe épicée. La deuxième bouche monte en intensité avec une base douce qui s'installe en dessous de la ligne principale sur l'amertume toujours vive. Des arômes de pêche viennent ainsi agrémenter l'ensemble. L'arrière bouche, d'une bonne ampleur est quant à elle simplement un peu plus épicée. La troisième bouche est très certainement la plus riche mais également la moins amère avec des arômes de mangue qui enrichissent le cocktail. Le final revient sur une amertume saillante avec pamplemousse et résineux, mais retombe trop rapidement. Bonne IPA.
