Has a faint hint of cardboard and water. Appearance is a poor off-yellow body with heavy head. Flavour is a nasty mix of off-malt and particle board with a rotting citrus fruit thrown in for good measure. Mouthfeel is not good, not great and certainly not enjoyable. The world is filled with bad lagers and it’s a shame. There is nothing to endorse this one over any other.

OK, so I thought this was going to be a pale lager. i tell ya, the difference between pale lager and some other styles is kindah grey. Lots of visible carbonation in this almost pale lager looken brew. First taste is a little dull with slightly more personality than a pale lager. yet its still well behaved. Not too bad up front. As session continues the co2 shines thru, good sizzle on this one. Gets a little more difficult towards the end, hints of medicine tries to appear but don’t. Crisp clean aroma. Can appriciate 4% but it actually comes across more like 5 or more.

Pour is a clear copper with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma is some bready malt. Flavor is way on the watery side. No malts or hops show up and this might be one of the wateriest beers I’ve ever had. Like drinking a Corona with a little more color to it.

Draught at King’s Hardware, Seattle
Amber color with generous head. Both aroma and flavour are fruity; smooth, but without much character; very low bitterness.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 11.2oz ($2): Pours light amber with whitish head. Aroma is a hint of caramel malt with a sort of undifferentiated macro lager aroma. Taste reminds me of Yuengling more than it does of something like Negra Modelo. Somewhat sweet. Lagery. Not too bad.

Location: Draft at Lupe's, 8/21/13
Aroma: The nose is light and malty, some corn, and straw, not much going on here
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber color with a small, fizzy head on it
Flavor: The taste is much the same, light malt, light sweet, some corn, light metallic notes
Palate: The body is light, it is fairly fizzy, and leans watery, short and dull finish
Overall Impression: In this style, it isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't a good beer either. A slight notch above your average Mexican water beer.
