This is a semi-historical porter recipe of the type brewed in, and exported from Glasgow in the 1800s. It has a medium dry finish, with full-bodied roasty flavours from the large quantity of amber malt used.

Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Foamy beige to tan head.
Nose - roast, coffee, hazelnut and sweet chocolate.
Taste - praline, hazelnut, toffee, coffee and chocolate.
Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy middle and roasty finish.
Overall - lovely stuff, a proper porter with no adjuncts.
