Rauchbier is a traditional style from Germany's Bamberg region, featuring distinctive smoky flavors that create an unforgettable. In medievaal brewing, malt was dried over open flames, naturally absorbing wood smoke. When hot-air drying became common in the 19th century, most beers lost this character—but some Bamberg breweries preserved the ancient method.

Following the style we created with Yokrocco Beer in 2024, we're re-releasing it for 2025—perfect timing for the season!

Using beech-smoked malt, we balanced robust malt backbone with pleasant hop bitterness for surprisingly easy drinking despite deep complexity. The result: amber-brown color with assertive yet refined smoke aromas.

Crystal malt's bitter-sweetness harmonizes with smoke, finishing with crisp hop bitterness that invites another sip.Pairs perfectly with spare ribs, sausages, especially charcoal-grilled meats. Ideal for fireside gatherings this season!

Can from Isetan. Toast, caramel and smoke in the nose. Flavor shows more bacon / smoked salmon and katsuobushi, with rich bready malt and sweet caramel. Smoke is on the lighter side, typically Japanese level. A tad too sweet but well done.
