KELR, as one would imagine, is the Cosmic Cowboys take on the Franconian Keller, or “cellar” beers. Brewed simply, with soft water, Weyermann Pilsner malt, Hallertau Mandarina & Hallertau Mittelfruh, KELR is softer than a Pilsner, more rounded and slightly fuller in body due to the residual yeast and proteins typically stripped from a beer during filtration. Highly drinkable at 5% ABV, with notes of honey, bread, forest air, and unadulterated German nobility.
