Bottle from Archer Liquor. Pours ruby with a 4-finger "rocky" beige head. Aroma is sweet malt and arguably vanilla from a barrel. Medium body with mild, creamy carbonation. Flavor is very smooth roasted malt. Finishes more bitter than not, and with time the vanilla/oak aspect is quite noticeable. It’s a very good beer.

Bottle. Clear brown body with a short off-white head, mostly diminishing. Malty, woody aroma of caramel, toast, oak, bourbon, vanilla and nuts with hints of chocolate and wet paper. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of bourbon and barrel. Medium body, water texture and lively carbonation. I am not a big fan of brown ales, but this ale, with its touch of bourbon barrel, is very good. I’d buy more.

Bottle at home ... copper brown ... sweet vanilla bourbon malt nose ... decent malt ... some fruit ... little bourbon but quite low ... little caramel.

12oz shorty bottle. Medium thick toffee-brown color, nice short thick head. Sweet caramel malt thickness, and a little Bourbon sweetness, though I might not have picked it out if not for the labeled description. Rather sessionable and unique as well. Not exactly my favorite but good enough as far as originality and follow-through.

Bottle: Poured a deep burgundy color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and great lacing. Aroma is dominated by vanilla and bourbon with some light alcohol ester also discernable. Taste is also a mix between some vanilla and some bourbon. Medium body with Ok carbonation and some alcohol was discernable. Probably one of the most complex and satisfying brown ale I ever had if you can truly categorise this beer as such.

wow. In a mix 12-pack loaded with some awesome beers. Pours amber with beige head. Aroma has plenty of dark fruits, with light notes of oak and vanilla. Taste of roasted caramel malts mixed with dark fruits. Finish is refreshing fruits reminding me of a clean white grapes with light chocolate bitterness. There is a very smooth and enjoyable resinous mouthfeel that engulfs the palate with light touch of bourbon. A definite goodness.

12 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pour is mostly clear brown golden ruby. Fluffy 2 inch off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, faint sweetness, wood and Bourbon. Nose is pleasant and restrained, nice. Taste is toasted malt, some sweet, and the bourbon and wood gently introduced to the finish. Taste is not quite as integrated or balanced as the nose, but still quite nice. Palate coats the mouth some, but drinkable.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear orangey brown with a rough, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel and a little bourbon. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, burned caramel and a dry lightly bitter finish. 201008

Scored this in a trade with Scubarex. Many thanks! 12oz bottle pours a translucent, deep brown with a thin, lacing beige head. Aroma is very sweet and inviting, sugary with a cookie edge, nuts, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is even better with MORE cookie dough, vanilla and chewy caramel but also a kick of bourbon whiskey, molasses, toffee and nuts. Finish is slightly dry, but very easy going. Not your average brown ale, something quite a bit more complex in flavor and more enjoyable.
