A cask classic bitter. A delicious base of malts, using a touch of Cara Gold to finish with a gorgeous colour. A small kettle hop addition delivers a light bitterness to bring an infinitely drinkable cask beer.

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just hints of malts and citrus. In the mouth it is basically bitter, but with a little underlying sweetness. There’s a mix of hops in the flavour quite a bit of ginger plus hints of malts, marmalade and oranges. Finish is dry and slightly spicy. This is decent- nicely restrained.
