Our annual holiday hoppy Double IPA. This year's batch was brewed with Nelson from Freestyle and Chinook from Roy Farms. The Nelson leads with grapefruit, which is balanced by a beautiful dash of resinous pine from the Chinook. It's all tied together with an intentionally sturdy malt base for the holiday season.

This is my first beer rating from Bakes Brewing. Additionally, this is my 175th New Jersey brewery tick! 16 ounce can from brewery, thanks to Nick R. Number one with a bullet. Cloudy orange gold pour. Large, pillowy white head leaves behind spectacular lacing. Aromas of dank citrus and pine. Flavor is as advertised. Notes of sticky grapefruit and resiny pine are balanced by a bready malt backbone. Well done.
