Sluagh is a modern interpretation of a Scotch Ale, an Imperial Scotch Ale if you will. This bold Imperial Scotch Ale was aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 24 for months, enrichings its vast flavors of caramel, toffee, winegumms and dark fruit, with layers of toasted oak, vanilla and cinder toffee!

Sample, thanks fonefan! Near black, no head. Generous aroma of bourbon and treacle. Sweet with full to massive body and rounded mouthfeel. Treacle and caramel, oaky, peppery bourbon. Warming bitter finish.

Thanks fonefan! Pitch black colour with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, some alcohol and mild spiciness with dried fruits and some plummy tones. Flavour is toffee, some sweet dried fruits, mild whisky, oaked and vanilla tones with wine gums and some slight alcohol burn to it. More Barley Wine than Scotch Ale in my books. Still a very good brew, but even a tiny bit of the spiciness in a good Scotch Ale would have made this even better.

Sweet dark malty with opulent silky chocolate, dark toffee and caramel malty sweetness, lovely bourbon washed oak accents, nice body and mouthfeel, interplay of vanilla and bourbon coalesce into the warming malty bear hug of a finish. Gorgeous.

Can @ New Years Eve. Pours Nearly Black with a small head. Massive bourbon, Dark fruit and chcofanter. Elegant touch og wood. It’s sacred. 4.4. You guys are nailing it.

Burk i hemmet . Skiter i doftandet går direkt på smaken . Oj oj här har vi strong ale känsla , alltså humle med tung gammal ek . Sen smackar choklad 🍫 och bourbon in. Jättegod .
