Real metalheads are DRAWN TO BLACK and our Finnish friends from Panimoyhtiö Tuju are no exemption. The premier brewers from Finland swung by Anaheim to make a Baltic Porter as the Scandinavians do: with a metric ton of rye. This rye-heavy Baltic Porter tastes like it could fit in a taproom near the Baltic Sea - we just transported it for the dark beer lovers of Anaheim. It’s robust, with lovely aromas of molasses and dark bread, comforting flavors of chocolate, coffee, and of course, a heavy metal amount of roasty rye bread. Kippis!

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a nice dark chocolate colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up roasted malts blended with nuttiness heading into ashy burnt malts and thin fruity esters. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, burnt malts and then heading into a thin stream of sweet dark fruity esters. Just solid blend of notes.

Can. Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and mineral aroma with light roast. Chocolate and dark fruit flavor with mineral and light roast. Medium bodied. Chocolate and dark fruit linger with light roast and light mineral notes.
