Fair Winds - 4% Mild.
We brewed this Pale Oat Mild with Maris Otter, Golden Naked Oats, Flaked Oats, and Brown Malt. It was hopped lovingly with East Kent Goldings. We for sure get hyped about Milds in the month of March, but everybody knows that once Summer is over, it’s prime Pale Oat Mild drinking time.
This one has that classic British moreishness, with a lovely tea and biscuit like malt character, that is simultaneously full and dry, a delicate hop note of orange marmalade on toast, and a soft fermentation character like some homemade pear butter. Great on draft or in the can; but particularly shines as a cellar temp hand pulled ale.
