VA Harrison apples & native yeast

Discovered on Orange Mountain in New Jersey in the 1700's, the Harrison apple quickly rose to fame for its exquisite cider making abilities. After years of popularity, the variety was nearly wiped out during prohibition. Almost lost, but not forgotten it is our pleasure to showcase the triumphant return of proper East Coast cider. Alluring notes of tropical fruit encompassed by a bold, full body lend to a crisp and revitalizing finish. Cheers to our legacy being rediscovered, one variety at a time.

On tap at Stillwell Freehouse. Pours blonde with a slight haze and a white head. Apple skins, fresh grass, and a gentle must on the nose. Flavour has apple skins, gentle acidity, light effervescence; off-dry overall. Nice, clean and crisp; effervescence becomes more prominent as it warms.
