Enjoyed on tap at Goose Island Stout Fest 2012 in Chicago, IL. I didn’t catch the description, but would assume this was aged in coffee beans or something like that. Appearance is pitch black with a rich off white head. Aroma mostly coffee, bit of chocolate, but mostly coffee. Taste dominated by coffee, bit of smoke, chocolate notes, not too much lactose, but maybe not as ’coffee like’ as other brews I had that day. Pretty decent stuff.
