Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a clear yellow/orange body with no head whatsoever, lacing is minimal and somewhat spotty and drips down the side of the glass. It leaves no rings and there isn’t any visible carbonation rising.
The smell had a fresh sort of floral yet lemon aroma. However, I do note the black pepper that comes out pretty strong. There are some hops in the background.
The taste brings back the lemon and some malts come out. A slight wheatiness comes out in the taste. The black pepper comes in the taste closer to the end of the beer.
The palate sits fairly light with a heavier carbonation which leaves a crisp sort of feel. It leaves a slightly dry finish.
Overall, this is not a bad beer. I guess I found it interesting with the \"black pepper\" thing going on in an American Pale Wheat Ale. It may be something I just need to get used to, that’s all. I’m not sure if I would get this again, maybe on tap.

Had a glass of this on tap with some wings. Appeared to be a hefeweizen, and I didn’t note the lemongrass, (not like in the Fleur de Lehigh) although that expalins why it didn’t taste like a true weizen. Still a good beer, but it might help to know what you’re drinking first....

12 ounce bottle chugged on the Bus after the wedding. Cloudy yellow. A sweet floral nose with lots of grains. A similar flavor that is dominated by the lemongrass and spicy flavors, light citrus and big wheat. Good.

Bottle at Texas Beerfest. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy off white head. The aroma is wheat amd yeast with citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop and light cirtus. Easy to drink, a decent herb from Magic Hat.

Poured slightly cloudy golden, produced fluffy head, though short lived. Nose was zesty with wheat, hints of lemon. Smooth and rounded mouthfeel, semi dry with hints of wheat and a little indistinct phenol, somewhere in between an american wheat and a hefeweizen.

12 oz bottle. A Cloudy and hazy, yellow with strong carbonation. Aroma of wheat citrus (orange, lemon), and a good amount of yeast.. Flavors are of wheat, lemon grass and a hint of orange . This brew produces a nice tingle on the palate, its light body and zest give this beer great drinkability. I’m not sure why other people gave such poor ratings??? I like it! Not EVERYTHING you drink needs to have lots of complexity. And I will go against the grain with this beer and give a good score. After I finished it I wished I had more to drink. I will buy again.

Review from notes, sampled 12/22/2007 12 oz bottle pours a hazy golden yellow with a fluffy white head that seemed to disappear to quickly. Smell is a spicy bitter skunky mixture. Taste is a sweet lemony citrus with a bitter after taste. Mouthfeel is tangy but thin. Definitely not one of my favorite wheat beers, average at best.
