Who knows what inspired the ancients to build Stonehenge--or what inspired us to build Hop Henge in its likeness. But build it we did, out of wrapped bales of whole-flower hops out on the brewery lawn. Like the rest of the Bond Street Series, Hop Henge highlights the creativity and curiousity of our brewers. Bolder than its English ancestors, with huge hops and a bitter finish, this IPA is no wallflower.
NOTE: This is the original version. In 2007 it was bumped up to an IIPA. See that entry here.

So, what up with 2 beers that have practically the exact same name? Go figger, is one better than the other or WTF? This was on tap at bocktown and it’s simply a terribly on style IPA but probably nit in viscous double ipa territory. There are so many ubiquitous IPA that border on impy ipa AIDGAF.

Round from PreFunk. Almost perfect IPA. Beautiful fluffy head, meloow piney/citrusy nose, and some puckering tartness, with plenty lingering aftertaste. Truly wonderful.

A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty and alcoholic, but also with notes of peaches tending to be over ripe. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of peaches, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is surprisingly thin.

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and a distinct citrusy zest. Quite full-bodied with marked citrus notes and a dry, bitter finish. 061006

Pours a deep, hazy amber with a half inch of frothy head that lasted most of the glass. Aroma is strong with hoppiness. Taste begins with a smooth malt, into an intense hop flavor with floral and citrus tones. An excellent IPA.
