MIZBASHO PURE is the first sparkling sake in the world whose fine bubbles are the result of the marriage between traditional sake making and in-bottle secondary fermentation, the technique made famous by champagne makers.

In the spring of 2003, innovative kura owner Sho Nagai, along with a French friend from the wine trade, contemplated the feasibility of creating an exceptional sparkling sake, and how to make it a reality. After 5 years of trial and error, the perfected process has been given a worldwide patent.
