Bottle pour at Yasaiya Teppanyaki Vegetables Akasaka, pours a clear water colour. Aroma brings out soft rice-like notes without much booze. Flavour is fairly dry, with soft floral notes, light lychee, and a bit of subtly sweet stone fruit. Smooth and lychee-like finish. Not much complexity or much of anything going on. I don't know my sakes but I'm not too impressed with this one.

Clear crystial colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy rice, ruff, earthy, alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, rice, alcohol, earthy rice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20111021]

bottle at home ... clear ... barest hint of yellow ... soft earthy rice... bitter herbal front ...followed by quite a sweetness... soft rice ... light spicyness ... mellow rice ... hint of pineapple... but definite bitterness im not used to in sake... but nice. 3.6
