Draft at the source. Cloudy pale yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon and white pepper. Taste is peppery, dusty straw. Decent.

Mild getreidiger Antrunk, leicht herb. Moderat herber Mittelteil mit konstant gebliebenen Getreidenoten, monoton. Kurzer getreidiger Nachhall. 9/8/9/7//8

On tap. Nice golden colour, grainy, hops and bitter. No sweetness and that’s how a pilsner has to be.

Draught at the bräuhaus
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is very light, with some malt and hop. There is some malt flavor, leaning on the honey side and straws, and a correct bitterness level, but nothing special overall, just regular.

Bügelverschlußflasche (1000ml von Stefan!): Golden, hazy, big white fluffy head; hoppy-spicy nose with a bad dash of unfermented mash in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; almost no traces of mash in the quite dry bitter-sweet and hoppy finish. Deserves a longer lagering.........

(100cl bottle, with big thanks to Quack-Duck !) Cloudy pale golden colour with a thick foamy and slightly off-white head. Sweet and yeasty, grainy malty with herbal and slightly grassy hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy and quite matured mouthfeel. Yeasty and grainy, also slightly worty and not very complex taste with moderate herbal spots; quite dry, slightly sweet and bitter hoppy finish. Not bad for a brew from a German Gasthausbrauerei, but not particularly Pilsener-like. 16.12.09

1l swing-top-botle, purchased at the brewery (+ a sip I got out of Allen’s glass). Rather hazy, nearly cloudy yellow colour with a creamy white head. Aromatic hoppy nose. Malty background with a nice yeasty character and a touch of fruit.
