2011-05-11, draught at the brauhaus in Rastatt, 7-4-6-3-14=34
Cloudy blond color, with an almost green/straw hue; medium sized compact head. The aroma is quite nice, with cereals, some crispy malt and mild aromatic hops. The mouthfeel is average; some malt flavor, not exciting, and with a trace of chamomile; in the front there is a light residual sweetness; in the final the high bitterness is creating a drier feeling. Good but a bit rough.

Cloudy deep blond color. The aroma is mild, malty, sweetish, with delicate hopping, grassy, at times even a bit earthy. It has a correct body strength, the malt flavor has some residual sweetness; therefore, it lacks the dryness of most Pils of the region, still the malt has some crispy traits; the bitterness is correct, and with delicate aromatic hop components, green and grassy, leading to a good and complete final. Very pleasant.
When I had a smaller glass at the Pforzheim location, it was sweeter and less hoppy, maybe less fresh.
