Tap at the Guinness open gate brewery London. A hazed brownish orange coloured pour with a lasting fine beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, woody, bark, Christmas spices. Nutmeg, cinnamon, some jammy fruits. Palate is semi sweet, cakey malts, spicy Jamaica cake, dired apple, riaisn, mellow spicy, woody bark. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, little flabby, highish carbonation.

Keg at the brewpub. Cloudy-opaque brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma has cofee and caramel. Nuts. An earthiness. Flavourwise it's got an initial citrus sourness and spice. This is over a chewy caramel and coffee core. Chewy malts also. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Dece Strong Ale that makes me think of a Belgian ale.
