We made this classic style to usher in the beautiful Winter season in Central NY. Its deceptively simple grain bill creates a wonderful malt complexity while the added spices were chosen to enhance and balance this delicate beer. The orange peel creates a citrus aromatic on top of the caramely deliciousness that keeps you wanting more. Cheers!

16 ounce can from Tavour. Amber red pour is topped by a frothy tan head. Toasted malt aroma has notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor is caramel malt with spicy notes. Subtle hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and orange peel. Some nuttiness as well. Nuanced flavors that remind me somewhat of Anchor Brewing’s Our Special Ale ( I really miss that one!). Overall, pretty tasty and the moderate ABV means you can have few, if you want to…

Can to nonic glass.
Appearance: sly transparent copper to amber color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated finely to leave some light lace
Aroma: cinnamon, orange peel, ginger with a smooth caramel maltiness, somewhat roasty and nutty
Flavor: malty to earthy & nutty meshing with the spicy tones of cinnamon & ginger tones, orange peel is there too, mild aftertaste of caramel, cinnamon & orange peel
Texture: light to medium bodied, seems to lean towards the sipper side, semi-smooth along the tongue, finishes with the ginger and orange peel tones
Overall: I like this Winter seasonal, I'd bang this again next Christmas.

16oz can from Tavour, straight outta my home town. Clear amber pour, thin creamy beige head. Malty a aroma with a touch of mulling spice. Taste is malty and sweet, caramel, with the holiday spice providing some gentle savory notes.
