At Flat12, the month of May is all about racing. In tribute to James Hinchcliffe, one of the brightest racing talents out there, we collaborated with James and created Hinchtown Hammerdown, a crisp and refreshing pilsner-style beer now lagered and cold-stored. It’s smooth, drinkable, and goes down fast-the perfect beer for a day at the track!

bottle - Pours hazy and very pale yellow with a big, billowy white, lasting head. It takes awhile to get anything in the aroma other than that particular over-carbonated smell. Finally some mild malt and a slightly fruity smell come through. The flavor is of grainy malt and mild, bittering hops. It’s light bodied and drinkable enough, but it’s not really my thing.

Sample at Twenty Tap. Clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, toasted malt and a bit of citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
