This beer’s uniquely American style dates back to the late 1800’s in California, where brewers were using lager yeasts that had been adapted to ale fermentation temperatures due to the lack of refrigeration. The resulting beer has a subtly complex flavor that is a hybrid of lager and ale flavors. Our version of this classic is fuller-bodied with a pleasantly toasty malt flavor, and less aggressively hopped

Draft @ Indy Microbrewer’s Fest. Hazy yellow gold with a moderate off-white head. Mild caramel malt aroma. Slightly sweet fruity malt flavor. Medium body, soft/flat carbonation. A lot like and English mild, very easy drinker.

tap at Bagger Dave’s in Fort Wayne - This clear copper colored beer has almost no head and a minimal, malty aroma. It tastes mildly bitter with bready and caramel malt. It’s light to medium bodied, easy drinking, and okay but more bland than I really like.
