The Barn Phantom Sour is part of our Waitin’ On Wood Series. It is a Belgian-style Pale Ale that has been aged in a bourbon barrel with raspberries and strawberries, and appropriately soured with lactobacillus acidophilus providing green apple, tart cherry, grapefruit, and even apricot notes.

Draft. Sweet tart raspberry, musty dank basement, and wood aroma. Hazy amber with a moderate off-white head. Tart apricot, wood/oak, vanilla, and raspberry flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation.

Draft at Tomlinson. Description says barrel aged, so I assume this is the right beer. Hazy golden amber color, scant white edge head. Lots of fruity edters in the aroma. Taste has tart citrus, vanilla, summer fruit. Tasty.
