Get Quacken is an intensely hop-forward American-style IIIPA (triple IPA) ale with enough hops to sink a ship & the bitterness of a jaded sea captain. Flavours of fruit from tropical shores give way to pine and cedar and are strong enough to keep the crew from mutiny. Hops include Cascade, Columbus, Nelson Sauvin, and Rakau.

The brewery calls it a Triple IPA. There is no reason that we want to know better here Shortlived beige-cream head over foxy metallic amber beer. Sweetish, nutty, nectarine, honeycookies. Sweetish yet resiny flavour (also a quite resiny sticky feel). Half-dried grapes, even almost dates. Backthroat piney resin, if subdued. Chewy, oily, even ultra oily feel? Good carbonation, if stifled by the maltbill. Alcoholwarmth. A triple IPA of 12.5% ABV... no cold feet in Kiwiland! Many thanks to Joren and Daniel!
