Can received in trade from RobertDale thanks for the opportunity. Pours a solid dark brown color with the faintest of garnet at the edges and a huge frothy tan head that persists forever and leaves stickies everywhere. Aromas of cocoa and bakers chocolate with a sharp almost tart fruity bite to it. Citrus and earthy hop aromas are plentiful. The flavor is rich chocolate with hints of caramel and butterscotch. Earthy citrus mixes with hints of plums and a touch of mineral water. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Nice porter, but I would have liked a bit less fruit and a bit more creaminess.

16oz can poured into a Blvd tulip. I like the can, has a grainy texture but I have no idea what the heck a zombie monkey is, maybe a reference to 21 days. Pours black with a big mocha colored head. Aroma is very dry ash and fume, and a little bit of mineral character to balance it out. Mouthfeel is soft and a bit nitro feeling, static-y on the cheeks. Flavor is dry, roasted, ends dry... its dry and bitter black malts. Almost like a big dry stout, perfect we need an Imperial Dry Stout. Its cool, I could keep drinking this for a while.

Can shared at CBC Clerkenwell in London - huge thanks to the ever-generous Ryan. Pours clearish brown with a fine, beige cream head. Milk chocolate aroma. Rich milk chocolate in the flavor, too, with some earthy bitterness, moderate roast, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Light dry roast finish with further milk chocolate character and lightly toasted wood. Good. Very good.

Can thanks to Ryan at Craft Clerko. Speed tasting. Aroma is nutty, toasty, roast. Flavour follows, more dry-roast coffee, choc, Opaque black, halo tan head. Earthy hop in the finish. Medium body and medium carb. Nice clean ferment.

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours near black with a thick dark brown head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of chocolate that is slightly sweet backed by a bit of cream, light roasted and dark grains. Flavor is similar with creamy chocolate backed by dark grains and a hint of roasted malts.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is plenty of roasted malt with a chocolate in the back round. Flavor is equally nice with a large roasted malt with some sweet sugary chocolate malt to follow. Finish has a decent char and an almost berry sweetness. This brewer is really growing on me. The first beers I’ve tried from them were kinda meh but each new beer they come out with impresses me more each time.

Sample at Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar. Brownish-black pour with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and hops. Light to medium body with a roasty character and flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and resiny hops. The finish is roast malt and chocolate. Above average overall.
