Pour is a black with an average tan head. Aroma is plenty of roasted malt and maybe some cocoa power. Flavor is a rich chocolate malt with just enough char and roasted malt to let you know what they were going for. Not heavy or thick so even those not used to this style may find it enjoyable.

On tap @ The Civil Life. Pours a dark brown appearance with a light brown head. Roasty, licorice / anise, slight burnt sugar aroma. Pretty well balanced. Earthy hops. Caramel / burnt toffee flavor with a touch of chocolate. Best here today.
