Bottle thanks to Fergus at level 42. It pours clear yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, straw, cereal, light grainy vibe, hay and not much else. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, clean, straw, green apple skin, straw, chewy, chalky and pithy lemon with a dry finish. Light - medium body and average carbonation. Not a whole lot going on.

Bottle shared on Level 42 12/01/2016. From Beer hawk. A light hazed pale yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is sweet apple, saison yeast, little alcohol, phenols. Flavour is composed of of semi seet grains, green apple, maybe not that fresh, light lemon rind in the finish. Palate is light, semi sweet, highish carbonation, little papery. Ok.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a semi-hazy burnt yellow color rimmed with a little white foamy cap of a head. Moderate lacing touches the sides nicely.
The aroma starts off with some sweet apricots, and apple (red delicious/Granny Smith sort of blend), sly vinous, sweet to bitter crisp grassiness. Lemon sweetness.
The flavor brings all of those flavors together sweet with a refreshing spritzy taste. Sly sweet citrusy aftertaste with a quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a big crushability about it. Low riding carbonation yields a semi-dry aspect.
Overall, decent saison worthy of coming back to.

Bottle. Hazy pale yellow with small frothy white head, honey/vanilla aroma, high carbonation, initially sweet honey like taste followed by light bitterness, smooth body, abrupt finish. Quite fulfilling.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from Smiley’s Discount Beverage. Apperance is hazy yellow with greenish tinge, nice sparkle, 2-finger width foamy white head with good retention and mild lacing. Aroma is mild fruity esters, wheat and champagne-like yeast. Taste is fruity esters mixed with some tart fruit, yeast. Palate is medium bodied with foamy texture, fizzy carbonation and mix of sweet, tart and yeasty finish. Overall, would have liked it a bit more ester-y and sweet. A bit too light and yeasty for me and the foamy/fizzy palate dominates the taste.

On draught at Winking Lizard. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a medium thin bone white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, citrus, hops and malt. The finish is fruity up front with a grassy yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Slightly musty yeast, pineapple, grainy malt, and coriander aroma. Clear gold with a large loose, quickly dissipating white head. Yeast, grainy malt, and light spicy/grassy flavor. Light, highly carbonated body... too much carbonation. Pleasant enough, but not very saison-ish.

Bottle from London Drinker BF 2016 and drunk at home. Gold slight haze lasting white head. Cereal aroma. Some saison yeast, but quite light. Better in mouth with some good esters, some peach as well as hop on the finish. It’s quite a light saison. More a golden ale/saison crossover. It’s fine. Flavours work and it’s well integrated with some decent hop. Just not as good as the authentic stuff from Beglium.

Bottle at Haymarket, Chicago. Clear golden with a white head. Fairly mild with malt, light funk, some hops and hints of spices. The body was on the light side as was the bitterness. Drinkable but a bit boring to be honest.
