This Belgian-Style Abbey represents years in the making as we collaborated with Gentle Giants Horse Rescue Farm (Mount Airy, MD) to create a beer that honors their ambassador horses and supports their important mission of saving draft horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect. Meet King’s Abbey, named after and inspired by Gentle Giants ambassador Belgian draft horse, King. And like King himself, this brew presents orange with a fluffy white head. Initial notes of peach, banana, white pepper, pear, and tropical fruits are balanced by a subtle bitterness and medium carbonation. A portion of proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to Gentle Giants.
