Single Hop IPA

NZ CASCADE SINGLE HOP IPA pours like a golden ray with beautiful white foam. Aromas of cantaloupe, white peach and riesling precede sweet tropical flavors of mango, kiwi and papaya, the long smooth finish harks back to the citrusy Cascade that you know and love.

It's easy to forget that craft beer is an agricultural product, just as capable as any glass of wine of expressing time, place and terroir. Yet comparisons between hop fields demonstrate profound differences, and year over year brewers rarely select the same variety from the same farm. We explored this earlier in the season with Deep Cut IPA, featuring late harvest Cascade from Crosby Hops in Woodburn, OR. Now, we take this concept one step further with NZ Cascade Single Hop IPA. What happens when we take genetically identical hops and grow them on the opposite side of the world? Excellent things.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has some pine, gentle tangy white wine-like hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is super bright, with huge tangy hops, bright pine, gooseberry, and crisp biscuity malt. That NZ Cascade is quite something—super piney, tangy, white wine-like—damn. Excellent.
