Bottle, 75cl. Wine cork style, waxed, blue bottle. A hazy, brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. It’s quite oxidized, with some alcohol, a good dash of raisins and prunes, some roasted hints and dark chocolate and a touch of minty, piney hops. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming on the palate, and with a very soft carbonation. There’s oxidation in the flavor too, but it’s more integrated with the dried fruits and caramel. Some roasted, chocolatey hints and a little bitterness too. Not overly sweet in any way. Lasting warming, sweet finish with dried fruits and some dark malts. Really tasteful this one, a bit heavy on oxidation in the aroma, but it’s damn fine anyway, so tasteful and mellow. 150613

Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, oxidized and hint of chocolate and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, caramel and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carboantion is soft.

Bottle from Nikki’s Liquors, shared at the C’Ville Foxy Knoxy tasting. Hazy amber, large fizzy tan head. Decent retention. Aroma of toffee, salt, caramel, rum. The taste is toffee, caramel, raisin, salt, citrus, rum, wood. Medium bodied, boozy, low carbonation, wears its oxidation well.

Luvly blue bottle. The beer itself is Hazy deep golden amber in color with a tan head. Aroma of butterscotch and vanilla. Taste is odd herbal butterscotch. Interesting.
