Our Maelstrom Red is an Irish Red Ale that pours a beautiful copper color with a creamy white persistent head.The color is complimented by a moderate malt aroma with hints of caramel, toasted malts, and toffee. The caramel sweetness of the beer is balanced by mild hop bitterness.Overall this beer is easy to drink and is packed with great flavor and aroma.

Pint can from Beer Run, 3/27/21. Hazy copper thin tan head. Aroma of toffee, wet hair, and earth. Taste is toast, caramel, earth, stone fruit. Medium bodied, slick. Very meh. Almost four years since the last rating and its not much better.

Tap at Sedona. Pours reddish. Light aroma of citrus, urinal cake. Flavor is burnt, bottom of the pot rice, light floral notes, wet sponge, minor citrus and other fruity notes. That initial burnt rice flavor kills this for me.

Draft: Malt nose. Clear copper, thin head, good lacing. Mild malt and cherries, quite tame. Bitter grass finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
