Growler from Steve.
This was poured into a.pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Light lacing came about from the dissipating head.
The smell had a dark roasted coffee bean with gentle nutty malts and then a light raspberry to balance.
The taste was roasty, sweet through a combination of coffee to raspberry, I liked it a lot.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a tad of sessionability about it. The carbonation was there - slightly harsh but not overbearing. There’s a nice intricate tart sweet raspberry to chocolate rolling over my tongue and into the finish.
Overall, really nice porter with raspberry in it. I would definitely have this again.
