Bottled on 01/26/15. Thanks Diana!
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy amber color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a good minute. A light foamy ring of lacing is just above the bulb in the glass.
The smell had a wonderful blend of caramel malts to a nice citrusy hops.
The taste had a full bittersweet blend of sweet caramel malts to bittersweet citrus hops. A soft sticky caramel to citrus aftertaste leads to a semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation feels appropriately styled as there’s enough sharpness but nothing to overpower the bitterness from the style.
Overall, weird how I got to add this after all of the hype I’ve heard behind it. Anyways, this was a well done Amber balanced nicely with some citrusy hops. In my opinion, I believe hopheads could get behind this one.
