On tap at the brewpub.
This was poured into one of their half pint glasses.
The appearance was a ruddy brown color with a bar pour’s kind of slim head that dissipated left no lacing.
The smell started off with some smoky sweet-like meatiness opening up into a delicate underscore of pumpkin.
The taste was mainly sweet again through the meatiness and pumpkin adding a touch of toasty/breadiness (like an English mild ale should). Rolling sweet touch of herbal to slightly sweet bready aftertaste slyly moving into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability to it. Carbonation runs really low as it should (almost like its on cask). The smoothness of this ale is mighty fine.
Overall, wow, super nice take on a style that no one wants to bother with these days. Props to Pro Pig for adding their take, nicely done guys!
