This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy to burnt amber color with a slim finger-ed
white to off white foamy head. Light lacing roamed around the glass.
The smell had a big woody character up front with a nice malt backbone
sliding in underneath. Slightly nutty, almost that chippy dryness to it.
The taste was mainly dry and sweet with the subtle woodiness really being the
most pronounced part of this beer. Definitely a dry woody sweet aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with nice sipping to almost sessionable
feel. Really hits dry on the tongue.
Overall, for a saison, its pretty nice. I’d have again.
