This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt to ruddy orange color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Semi-sticky white foamy lacing forms around the glass.
The smell, oh wow, just oh wow! Pure orange pulp pummeling down bitter grapefruit rind. Subtle sweet and bitter pine slides in for the balance.
The taste emphatically pulls together the sweet and the bitter so tight yet so graceful to lay the bittersweetness down on my taste buds. Really awesome juicy orange aftertaste leads into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sipping to almost sessionable quality to it. Carbonation finishes at a nice pace allowing the bitterness to cough up the appropriate harshness for the style.
Overall, Frost just seems to be getting better every day. Their research is proving to the Vermont beer market that they’re here for good. They knocked this one out of the park! Hell yeah!
