On tap at The Reservoir in Waterbury, VT.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt amber color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated into nothing. Light lacing here and there.
The smell starts off with a sharp sweet caramel maltiness running into the citrus, floral and piney hops. Nicely blended.
The taste was mainly sweet through the blend of the hops and malts. Bitterness does make a decent effort to try and invade the flavor but ends up remaining in the background throughout the beer.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the bitterness and stickiness to combine nicely.
Overall, it’s a decent DIPA with a maltier aspect to it. I could have again for me.
